Being Present
Earlier this year, I put this phrase, "Being present is being productive" in the notes section of my phone, and I couldn't stop thinking about how much I needed to hear this. I try my best to truly be where I am, to be with the people I'm around, and to be focused on the thing I am doing, but it's harder than it seems.
In a world with increasingly more distractions, this was a reminder that I wanted in front of me each and every day. A reminder that whatever had happened, whatever was going to happen, or whatever may be happening on a digital platform at that moment, the most productive way to spend my time was actually just living in the exact moment I was in. I figured if I could use that reminder, maybe someone else needed this message too.
